Unlucky Thursday

I'm wearing a woman's fragrance today, called Azzaro.

Water from our upstairs neighbours was dripping into our toilet this morning. A puddle formed and we are worried it will affect the people downstairs. The tower block feels, at times, like it's falling apart.

On the way to work, the bus driver stopped and screamed at an elderly woman because it was 8:55 - five minutes before her OAP (Old Age Person) discount began. So unnecessary.

The central line was running with delays, bums squished against the windows. Squeezed my way in after a few trains and made it to Waterloo. Outside, up ahead, on the sidewalk, a ladder was propped against a brick wall. Decided to follow today's theme and walk under it.

your bus system only gives older citizens discounts between certain times in the day??

that seems so odd to me. i mean, do the old people stop being old at a given point in the day?

I think it's a way of discouraging them from using public transport during rush hour, for the sake of the millions of workers that already have to put up with an overloaded system.

sense and sensibility

You know, that actually makes sense.

I actually had a vision of this driver being psychic and intuiting that having been born in 1942, "Premature Prudence" wouldn't, in fact, be celebrating her 65th birthday until 9:03 am sharp.

I had Azzaro during my cologne-teen days. Or was it Azarro?

Is this really perfume, or do you just think the smell is feminine?

There's a version for men, and one for women. The male one is in my office's desk drawer; the woman's one is at home. ;-)

the only sane thing to do at that point.

Or I'm too damn strong for bad luck.

I'm surprised we still allow them to leave the house.

I love reading your journal. It's like each post is an excerpt taken from the book of your life. I wish I could write with such focus and skill.

Thank you... that means a lot to me. :-)

Good friday for you! :)
ps* I can't believe you're wearing the one and only fragrance my mom loves.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2007-06-29 07:33 am (UTC)(link)
I don't think it suited me. I'm going back to my usual Blue Label by Givenchy. ;-)

But you don't explain WHY are you wearing a woman's fragance!!?? It's by mistake?? Or simply 'cause it fits you??? :P

A friend's father gave me a goody bag which contained the perfumes - one for men and one for women. He must have been travelling first class. I took the Azzaro pour homme to work and found the femme one in the bathroom. Thus the challenge.
