Day 27 - Coach

By the time I wake up, shower and eat breakfast, Bia is long gone to work.

My coach leaves São Paulo at 10am. I give myself plenty of time to travel the metro from her house and visit the bus station’s bookshop.

Seat 13, my lucky number. The sun doesn’t shine on me, neither do I have a nearby companion.

São Paulo’s ugly concrete self gives way to bushes and farms as the coach travels north. I listen to podcasts then a bit of music. I have a book on the history of England’s canals but I don’t read it.

Interesting to have 13 as your lucky number. Mine’s 7; could this get any more cliche? :D

7 also used to be mine, then it moved to 8 - and now, for the past couple of years, it's been 13!

27 has recently been making its presence known...

Years ago, mine used to be 5.

29 has been a constant good one throughout too.

Possibly part of it is that I like my prime numbers; a bit number-nerdy of me I guess. :D

Who is the book on England's canals by? I ask because Alice's dad wrote one on Birmingham's canals.

It's "Barging Round Britain: Exploring the History of our Nation's Canals and Waterways" by John Sergeant, David Bartley - I think it's linked to a TV show.
