Sunday Morning

Sunday Morning
By The Velvet Underground

Sunday morning, praise the dawning
It's just a restless feeling by my side
Early dawning, sunday morning
It's just the wasted years so close behind

Watch out, the world's behind you
There's always someone around you who will call
It's nothing at all

Sunday morning and I'm falling
I've got a feeling I don't want to know
Early dawning, sunday morning
It's all the streets you crossed, not so long ago

Watch out, the world's behind you
There's always someone around you who will call
It's nothing at all

Watch out, the world's behind you
There's always someone around you who will call
It's nothing at all

Sunday morning
Sunday morning
Sunday morning

Lou Reed refused to let Nico sing that.

Thank God for that...

She was better suited for the other ones she sang.

Whilst I love the album, I wouldn't really describe what Nico was doing as "singing". She does manage to make Lou Reed sound melodic (which is going some).

And what precisely is a "clun", anyway?

this is actually a perfect sunday morning song/album in general. i have a great memory of listening to this one sunday morning after a house party the night before, a few people were staying over, drinking coffee and having breakfast with the sun peaking through the curtains.

It's an all around perfect album... a perfect opener for Autumn.

Lovely pic! The blue bits between the clouds make it look beautiful in an unreal way!

Yes, there are definitely three types of blues in there... strange, huh?

do you have the mix I made with this on it? I forget which it is, but could find it easily enough.

in fact...it's Lick Your Wounds.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2007-09-24 08:34 pm (UTC)(link)
No, I don't think I have that mix! Let me look...

*flips through hundreds of Jellybean mixes*
