Person X, Y and Z

I pick ten things that I'd like to say to different people on my F-List. Then I say them. But I don't do any naming names. Or answer any questions about it.

1) If I had to choose one LJ friend to build an interstellar space station, I'd choose you.

2) Everyone thinks you are a nutter. I've been in your position and that's why I have a soft spot for you.

3) Get rid of him! He only brings harm to your life; you will be much happier alone.

4) I miss you so much. I'm sorry I didn't get to see you recently.

5) If I had to nominate one of the sexiest people I know (including celebrities and Hollywood stars), I would pick you.

6) You are a brilliant writer. Someone should pay you to stay at home and write a novel.

7) Behind that hard façade lies a very soft person. You ain't fooling anyone!

8) You've got one hell of an unhealthy obsession.

9) That new friend you made... I'm sorry but it's going to end in tears. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about.

10) You'll be so much happier once you are out of that flat. I know it sucks, but one day you'll look back and feel relieved you got out.

Aw... it's Doggles, the dog who wore goggles. Or at least it's some mutt with glasses. :-)

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 05:20 pm (UTC)(link)
It's not just any mutt; it's a sausage dog with glasses!

[identity profile] steer.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 05:46 pm (UTC)(link)
Did you make your dog wear your glasses? Poor doggie!

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 06:02 pm (UTC)(link)
If they needed it, sure. But they are rural dogs, so they prefer to run outdoors than read.

[identity profile] steer.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 07:18 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe wild outdoor doggies would be keener on sunglasses?

[identity profile] desayuno-ingles.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 09:55 pm (UTC)(link)
Certainly Marcelinho prefers the outdoors, but perhaps Tete would appreciate a pair of reading glasses. For taking a break between laying in the sunshafts and in the shade.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2007-10-27 07:54 am (UTC)(link)
Hers would have to be really thick bi-focals because of all the time she spends indoors readig and watching TV!

[identity profile] yearning.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 07:21 am (UTC)(link)
I hope not!

[identity profile] steer.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 07:21 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, and *I* would like to build an interstellar space station if it wasn't for the commute in the morning. I suppose I could move to interstellar space but I don't know anyone who lives there. If you think about it, it would be a real pain to travel in and then you'd have been in the office for five minutes when you remember that you left the screwdriver under the bed. Also, if you did commute then it would be a real pain because think about the excuses "Oh, hi boss. Yes, look, I'm not in yet because I've got to wait in for this parcel but if you need me in the office today then just give me the nod and I can be in the office in... oh about 18 months... or 12 months if I cycle."

Actually, it can't be eco friendly to travel that far into work.

[identity profile] rosamicula.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 08:00 am (UTC)(link)
Hmm. If you built it you would probably get into a mess and glue some of the wrong bits together. It would be more like the paper clock than, say, the rutting bunnies.

[identity profile] steer.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 03:01 pm (UTC)(link)
:( Don't remind me of the painful "paper clock" fiasco you terror.

[identity profile] rosamicula.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 03:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh but it was beautiful in its way. And you did stick with - as well as - to it. You should have another go at it.

[identity profile] desayuno-ingles.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 03:58 pm (UTC)(link)
THis sounds so amazing, I truly wish I could have been privy to something like the atrocity I am imagining!

Geostationary? I thought we were wanting something interstellar not within solar system. I was misunderstanding the problem we are solving.

[identity profile] steer.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 04:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Hah... that's so rubbish. I can just declare my bedroom an interstellar space station! That way I can wear a space suit and suck food from tubes and nobody can criticise me much.

I don't think I'll catheterise myself though.

I'm desperately hoping for six but I'd settle for a five.

[identity profile] phyrephly.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 05:03 pm (UTC)(link)
I agree.

[identity profile] kirstenlj.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 08:51 am (UTC)(link)
One of these made me laugh!

[personal profile] canudiglett 2007-10-26 10:53 am (UTC)(link)
They could all be me! Well, almost all of them. I think I know who number 9 is, though.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
You could get in trouble for claiming number 3 for yourself.
canudiglett: (goodbye gaz)

[personal profile] canudiglett 2007-10-26 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm claiming number 2, number 6 (though everyone seems to want that one) and number 8!

[identity profile] pixxers.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 12:25 pm (UTC)(link)
I want to be one. Even if I'm the nutter.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 05:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I won't stop you. ;-)
izzybees: (Yellow Lindsaybird)

[personal profile] izzybees 2007-10-26 01:48 pm (UTC)(link)
7 could apply to me, but I will dream of being 6. :P

[identity profile] amanda-mary.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 02:56 pm (UTC)(link)
You could so be number 6!

Regardless of whether it applies to me or not, I need to take the advice in number 10 to heart!
izzybees: (Yellow Lindsaybird)

Thank you, my dear! Coming from you, that means a lot.

[identity profile] desayuno-ingles.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 03:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Yah, I know. Fanks, my dear.

[identity profile] desayuno-ingles.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 05:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Hey! I just finished emailing your brother! WOoOOoOOooo!

omg go look at the dude's videos, there are others!!

[identity profile] dilvsy.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 06:03 pm (UTC)(link)
number 5 was me...admit it.

(of course you know me well enough to know I am being sarcastic)

LOL

[identity profile] beeorkendurkey.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 07:00 pm (UTC)(link)
this is a neat idea. i could apply a few to myself in my head, but doubt my inclusion due to phantom-like lj presence lately.

[identity profile] wwidsith.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 07:05 pm (UTC)(link)
Man, what a gorgeous idea. I feel ten times happier just pretending one of these could be about me!

[identity profile] idioticpoet.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Question-
How'd you make the squiggly on the bottom of the "c" in facade?

Please, if you can teach me how to do so (if it makes a difference, I use a Dell, not an Apple).

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2007-10-27 07:51 am (UTC)(link)
Very simple, mon ami. Go to google and find the word. Then copy and paste. ;-)

[identity profile] msanthropist.livejournal.com 2007-10-27 11:52 am (UTC)(link)
Windows comes with "Character Map" in its Accessories. You can see most of the fonts installed on your 'puter there. Find the letter with the affectation you're looking for and copy and paste it...

[identity profile] wwidsith.livejournal.com 2007-10-27 12:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Or, hold down Alt and type 0231 on the number pad: ç. Presto. You need NumLock on, obviously.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2007-10-27 02:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Is there somewhere I can go to learn the codes for other accents? This would be helpful for when I write in Portuguese!

[identity profile] suede.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 10:36 pm (UTC)(link)
haha love this kind of meme!
really good idea!

[identity profile] tonight-we-fly.livejournal.com 2007-10-26 11:07 pm (UTC)(link)
I know it's very unlikely; but secretly I really hope that all ten of those remarks were actually about the same person!

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2007-10-27 08:27 am (UTC)(link)
Although there are plenty of big personalities on my F-list, none of them are that big or complicated!

[identity profile] kevyn-kronycles.livejournal.com 2007-10-27 02:27 am (UTC)(link)
Those are very interesting things you wrote about your lj friends...I'm not in them, but they're were enjoyable to read...it's great how you care about others

[identity profile] gorecky22.livejournal.com 2007-10-29 10:43 am (UTC)(link)
The fact is that it's really easy to feel identified with the good things. you say... sure there are a lot of your friends who can be defined but one or more of your comments. And although I know one of them is not for me, I've imagined it is... and it made me happy. :P
