Day 73 - Castration

My 6-month-old kitty Amora was castrated neutered today.

I was so worried about it I didn’t sleep well last night. I even dreamt I chased her through a house full of people and animals. She was always out of reach.

I had to sign a document saying I agreed to the operation. There was always a chance something might go wrong. 5 hours later they texted me to say I could go fetch her. She was groggy from painkillers. All went well.

Now she’s lying on the sofa next to her brother. Next month, it’s his turn to get snip snipped.

I'm very grateful for adopting them. :)

It's a much bigger worry when you get a girl cat neutered as it is so much more invasive. You won't have so much to worry about with her bro and tehy will both be really healthy and you won't be over-run with kittens. Shhh. You really don't want to be over-run with kittens.

(In English only males can be castrated, females are neutered or spayed).

Ah! Thank you for the heads up. :)

She was very weak yesterday and left me full of worry, but today she's back to her bouncy self, drinking enough water and moving around, though still eating only a little.
