I may have to quit NaNoWriMo this year... because of tendonitis.

I'm going to rest for a few days and see how it goes. If my hands improve, I'll continue even though I won't make the 50.000 finishing line.

I ignored the signs of a worsening problem like that for awhile, then one day they got really bad and didn't get better for awhile. Now I can only type in small doses, can't lift many things, can't play bass properly, can't open vacuum-packed food with strong seals, play video games, etc. It's rather inconvenient.

The problem appeared two years ago for me when I did a temp job that involved a lot of website work - clicking through pages all day long. I didn't have the guts to tell the client or the agency that I was in pain (work was not steady back then) and ever since my hands have been buggered if I do too much typing on them. :-((((
