Reception Area

Most mornings, after preparing breakfast, I retreat to the guesthouse’s reception area for a bit of writing and reading. I do this from 7.30am to 9am, then get ready for my chores around the house and the garden.
Today, I’ll try to get some work done on my novel (200 pages down; about 100 more to go) and read a little from my Kindle. It’s been like this for over a year now, since the pandemic started.
