Big City Dreams, All I want to See
Apr. 15th, 2003 06:42 pmReasons why this week is kicking ass for me:
- Recorded Richard Ashcroft playing "Buy it in Bottles" on the telly, Top of the Pops on Saturday.
- Bought his amazing album on Sunday, together with the great single from The Caesars, not to mention hanging out with Lilly in a sunny, deserted London (everyone went to the Marathon.)
- Woke up yesterday and
pitseleh's package had arrived. After work, met Karla and went to see Russian Ark (boring but we still got a chuckle out of the experience.)
- London today was 21 degrees celsius! (i think that's in the 70s for you North Americans).
- Had to go to the Archives again and was left by myself in the building. I explored it and discovered some amazing photo shots (the place is abandomned and would make a great horror movie location - you just wait and i'll show you.)
- Was invited for lunch tomorrow, paid for. All because my Portuguese came in handy when I needed to retrieve the swiss army knife of a lecturer that had been confiscated in Lisbon.
- Found out that Amanda, a nice lecturer at the department, had a baby girl today. Her baby will have an OllieOctopus toy (each arm plays a different song.)
- Tomorrow and Thursday is going to be around 25 degrees celcius!!!!!
- Got a package from my mom today with two LARGE Easter eggs...
- Got two movies to watch tonight (Dog Soldiers, a werewolf movie; The Warriors of Magic Mountain, or something of the sort... a kungfu movie.)
- When I took the Tube to the Archives today, I stuck my tongue out to a baby and she started giggling! (I think my biological clock is ticking...)
- Received a sweet e-mail from my first love, Henrique. We hadn't spoken to each other properly since Christmas, nor written to each other since February 2002. I'm happy that I decided to send him an email yesterday.
- My Dad is going to lend me money to buy my ticket to Canada... but do I want to go??? (SARS, it's my fear.)
- It's almost 100% sure that they can make me full time at my work. That means I will be earning A SHIT LOAD starting July!!

I'm sure I forgot something. Man, this high is too much...
