Amity's gift

I had a lovely surprise this morning. A package had arrived from Australia...

Amity (pitseleh) sent me a copy of Turin Brakes' new album!!!

It was the best possible way to start my week. I can't wait to get home tonight and listen to it.

This is very special to me because it's the first time a LJ friend that I don't know sends me something by mail... I received a sweet handmade Christmas card from Meire once (roguejournal), which also made my day.

I spent my sunday with Lilly, looking for second hand cds. She bought The Geraldine Fibbers, which I am told is very big in Portland, Oregon. Anybody can verify that? I copied the cd to my computer and will give it a better listen tonight.

I found Richard Ashcroft's Human Conditions for £5.99... a bargain. My original copy is with Meire, as a parting gift from last Christmas. Everytime I listen to this album I miss Brazil, I feel full of good feelings. Ashcroft is just... brilliant!
