Feb. 6th, 2004 11:26 amAs I have now come to expect, the only highlight of my trip was the spotting of a "celebrity" in Heathrow Airport while I waited for my flight. It broke the tension I was feeling in my stomach, the slight-nausea brought about by eating Burger King for dinner and thinking about airplane catastrophes...
If something had happened to me, who would update my journal and let you know? Nobody... or maybe Meire (![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
roguejournal). Please, don't tell me to refrain from the morbid topic because I'm in Brazil; it's muggy, hot, humid and rainy ("you brought the bad weather", my brother accused me) so I might as well indulge:
If I give my password to someone with instructions to let all of you know I'm dead... am I inviting death? And if I never give the password, then aren't I keeping death at bay like an extra from Final Destination?
Brazil is my Final Destination, my simulacrum; my hyperreality. The real Brazil is not what I imagine - but it's necessary for me to keep it all in fantasy, because only then can the real exist as well. I don't mean to sound ambiguous...
And my first dream here was withteqkiller. We worked together, we had to escape some accusations of falsifying tests at the workplace, and she really enjoyed playing Trivial Pursuit.
The food is lovely - ops! I have to go now. Time's up. Will be back soon.
