Toe Hair: 21st Century Tabboo
Jun. 9th, 2004 10:54 amGenerally, I don't care about my toe hair. I don't stare at my feet long enough to wonder whether they look good, whether they should be trimmed or shaved off. In fact, as I write this, I'm thinking to myself that this is possibly the dumbest post I've ever written. But I have to do it because it's been bugging me for years how long my toe hair is!
This might be a problem that only my guy friends (or some of the guys) have. Namely, long toe hair. The problem, at least for me, is that they reach all the way around my toe (not all hairs, mind you, only some of them - namely on my big toes) and it gets to the point where I'll feel as if I'm walking on my hair and pulling it. It's actually uncomfortable and I have to sit down, take my shoes off, rearrange my toe hair underneath my socks so I don't feel like I'm pulling them anymore.
Does this happen to you too?
And are there women with long toe hair too? I know I might be blowing out of the water a long-held girly secret but I feel that perhaps it's time people came out of their foot closets and declared to the world their toe hair miseries.
Do you shave your toes in secret? I went through a period (when I was fighting all the growing hairs in my body) that I shaved/trimmed them. Then I just gave up because the little buggers grew back so fast.
Right now I'm wearing my dark brown leather shoes and black socks. I'll have to take off my shoes in a minute because I'm stepping on toe hair again. When I get home tonight, I'm going to pick up my gillette Mac 3 and return to the battlefield.
