I slept in my mom's room, with the air-conditioning on and Tete curled nearby, under the covers. Half way through the night, I dreamt someone was rubbing their ears on my mouth. I opened my eyes and there was Tete, breathing her Dragon breath into my face. She probably thought I was talking to her - I talk in my sleep.
I took Tete for a walk as soon as I woke up. Even at 8 in the morning, the sun was already bright and everyone carried the day's stickiness like their usual chore. For myself, I'm still not used to the heat. Feels like I need to take at least two showers a day. In fact, I might take one as soon as I write this.
I didn't do much today: bought a new leash for Tete, read more of The Black Echo (so so good), slept for four hours in the afternoon after a large lunch made up of beans, rice, steaks, corn, salad, and Caju juice.
In the evening, my aunt and godmother Cleuza came to visit. We dined on fresh fruits and talked about Brasil's fifth Big Brother tv show. Everyone loves the gay guy, apparently. It's still very shocking in Brasil to come out as gay on television... poor bastards!
Why my mom is nuts: she's putting together a business in our farm which will convert the place into a hotel. She's also signed up to become a representative for Disney travels in the region (!?!) and she wants to found the Green Party in the farm's nearby city (!?!?!?!) When I told her that the city's church was ugly and that someone should bring it down and build a baroque-style church, she immediatly started thinking up a letter to write to the Vatican for their financial assistance in this project.
I need to buy some sneakers tomorrow so I can go for runs (or walks). I also need to buy sunglasses.
