Arcade Fire Review & What Happened Before or After

I woke up today looking like I`m 50 years old. Nothing wrong with that, I guess, except that I`m not even 30 and I didn`t do anything extreme last night to warrant half of my youth being sucked away. I'm scanning yesterday's events and coming up with a blank as to why I'm suddenly knocking on middle-age's entrance door.

Yesterday was brilliant, by all accounts. I spent the day alone in the apartment: I played a bit of Animal Crossing, I watched Twin Peaks, I worked on my horror novel and was pleased, and I didn`t think too much about being poor. I then left home to meet Kevin and Chris in Foyles Bookstore for The Arcade Fire gig. When I met Chris, he surprised me by lending me three vintage horror books! They looked like the kind of paperback pulp novel that you just don`t find in the sanitized bookstores anymore. Their lurid covers reminded me of the horror novels I used to love to read when I was a teenager, and which I still think stand as good genre fiction. Stephen King could only dream of being so good.

Strangely enough, the gig was sold out and the scalpers were trying to buy tickets instead of selling them. We walked around looking for a ticket for Chris but had no luck. By then, Joel arrived so we made our way to the concert after saying goodbye to Chris.
