Zombie Dramatis
Jun. 14th, 2005 05:29 pmAlthough we briefly had a heatwave a few weekends ago, Summer has still to materialize in London. In fact, the more I think about it, the more it seems that what Owen Wilson says in Shanghai Knights is very true: this country blows. I wore my wintercoat to work yesterday, and today I haven't taken off my sweater. It's the 14th of June, for Christsakes!
I've been taking some pills for allergies and, despite it being non-drowsy, I've been feeling like a zombie these past couple of days. I went swimming this morning and my mouth was like one of those coastal caves that the waters of the sea lap against but never get in - a dark, dry, stinky cave. When I sleep, I hit Kevin's head with my elbows and have festering dreams. I'm not happy with any book I pick up to read. I've settled for Truman Capote and he seems to be keeping me close to him... but for how long?
At work, dullness clipped to dullness stapled to dullness emailed to dullness stamped to dullness typed to dullness. One coffee break at 11 a.m., lunch at 1 p.m. and another coffee break at 4 p.m. (Well, at least officially...) I`m now alone in the office. Everyone comes and goes as they please, but I have to stick to the hours so I can get paid more.
With nothing more to say, I wish you a good day.
