I woke up this morning, same hour as usual, and had the brilliant idea of tuning into Liberty AM again. I thought to myself "hmmm, maybe they play 80s every morning! Let`s give it a try."

And guess what came on?

Kim Wilde`s Kids in America. Again.

My brain questioned it for a second or two, before my body started shaking and dancing about. I almost knocked some moist clothes from the clothes line, threw my towel on the floor again and bycicled in the air like an idiot.

I`m going to try Liberty AM again tomorrow, and see if there`s a bit of Kim Wilde obsession going on in the dark world of AM radio.

Oh no, now I've got it!

Stumbled voyueristically onto your log, and now I'm doomed!

Do you know how long it took me to get that song out of my head the last time I heard it? Now, even the mere mention...

Guess it serves me right.

we can only hope and pray my friend.

Sad as it seems, my most vivid memories of the song come from the movie 'Clueless' which left a lasting impression on my psyche.

I now can't help of think of teens in Beverly Hills when the tune rears it's ugly head in my direction, which makes it all the more hideous/precious to me.

Campy, maybe. But still important.

what a coincidence!!! My life recently can be summarized as Alicia Silverstone trapped in The Cure`s video for In Between Days!!

Haven`t heard any Kim Wilde lately... I`m trying to keep a hold on some 90s music, hoping that will propel me back into the present soon.

I highly recommend C&C Music Factory. Gonna Make You Sweat Til You Bleed. Is that dope enough?

Indeed.

The cooincidences get weirder. You mentioned The Cure. I share the same name as the lead singer.

I think I must now add you as an LJ friend.

Congratulations!
