Morrissey finally got himself a record contract. I heard this on Virgin yesterday, during their Attack of the 80s. I think it`s with Sanctuary Records and he should be releasing it soon.

The Mozzer
on 2003-01-28 10:33 am (UTC)I had the good fortune to see Morrissey for the first time last year and I was blown away. I'd been a fan of he and The Smiths for some time, but had always missed him previously when he came into town. It was a tremendous show, and the audience, of course, was totally into it.
I thought to myself "He's got to make another album. Please don't let him stop at Maladjusted."
This is very good news indeed. Here's hoping he still has plenty of angst to dish out.

Ah… everytime I think of Moz, I just want to be teleported to his side and give him a big hug.
(I saw him recently aswell, in October. He played the Royal Albert Hall and the crowd just went mad! A mini-riot broke out in the end when he threw his shirt to the crowd…)

on 2003-01-29 03:47 pm (UTC)Of course, most artists in the U.S. tried to play up the latino thing when it hit it big a couple years ago...maybe Morrissey's just a late bloomer?
I remember how every time I used to think about Moz, I used to want to be teleported to his side too...but not to hug. Actually, when I saw him, he threw back some gladiolas that were thrown at him and started a bit of a rumble. And he's still sexy as hell, I realized, after he opened his shirt.
