Tomorrow marks 5 years since I started "dating" Kevin.

Can't believe 5 years ago we were taking those special steps towards the cinema, to watch Bride of Chucky. Then he came over to my apartment afterwards and I gave him a mug of orange juice (it was either that, water, or milk.) We listened to some Classical Chinese music (because I had just returned from Tsing Tao, where my dad and brother were living at the time) and I lit up some Beewax candles (which Helen gave to me on my birthday.)

I lived in Montreal, on Cote-des Neiges. Very near Concordia University.

I miss Canada. If Kevin doesn't propose soon, would any Canadians be willing to marry me?

(also, happy anniversary to [livejournal.com profile] dilvalicious. 4 years ago, today, she was going on a special date to Fight Club)

i don't know what to give him as a gift tomorrow. I just sent him a text saying we shouldn't give each other anything... but now I'm wondering if I'm being too moody.

hmmm well five years is hard, you prolly don't buy each other as extravagent gifts as when you first started dating but you still want to get him something. What about just a nice dinner out? or I don't know something he wouldn't buy himself...

so you can see yourself spending the rest of your life with this boy?

and is gay marriage legal in canada yet?

First, congratulations.

Second, where in Canada have you lived? The though of moving to and/or looking at grad schools in Québec has crossed my mind a few times... (I can only tolerate so much of this country, and it is so hard to move to (and of course harder to become naturalized in) France as a non-E.U. citizen...)

Thanks Tika! :o)

I lived in Montreal, for 5 amazing years. I love Montreal and I highly recommend the city, specially if you loved France. Montreal is, to me, the best city in North America - hands down. The best of Europe with the best of North America.

There are tons of great universities and colleges there. What would you like to study? It's also a big student city, so it's very cheap to live there... specially for an American.

Right now I'm look into Comparative Literature, French or Political Theory -- or something in-between those. Right now I'm studying 'Social thought and political economy' and 'French studies'...

I've been to Québec city, but never to Montréal... seems like I need myself up there and check it out...

Unfortuntly gay marragis are not leggal in Ontario i think there was only 10 ppl that could get married and we were going farword with it then they desided to stop it. witch is fucking stupid. I fuckin hate the white homophobs in offic and toronto has such a strong gay community that they could over throw the goverment... *mutters under breath and walks awak kicking a can*
