Tomorrow marks 5 years since I started "dating" Kevin.

Can't believe 5 years ago we were taking those special steps towards the cinema, to watch Bride of Chucky. Then he came over to my apartment afterwards and I gave him a mug of orange juice (it was either that, water, or milk.) We listened to some Classical Chinese music (because I had just returned from Tsing Tao, where my dad and brother were living at the time) and I lit up some Beewax candles (which Helen gave to me on my birthday.)

I lived in Montreal, on Cote-des Neiges. Very near Concordia University.

I miss Canada. If Kevin doesn't propose soon, would any Canadians be willing to marry me?

(also, happy anniversary to dilvalicious. 4 years ago, today, she was going on a special date to Fight Club)

okei I was wondering because there has been a lot of debate about, it and I hate to say it but I am just don't follow the news all that closely sometimes.. bad me!

short term is good and you only have one life, and therefore you should live it on your own terms. I think it's good to be hopeful about your future, because without hope what do you have? I mean don't get carried away thinking that everything is going to be wine and roses but its' good to make a loose plan, you dont want to end up 60 with no money, having done nothing, waiting to die do you? well that was a bit harsh but you know what I mean non?

lol... yeah, i do know what you mean. I know that I save money, and make plans about taking my writing somewhere, and learning learning learning, keeping myself fit, travelling, making new friends (and meeting them *wink wink*)...

i do get scared of old age, and what the world is going to be like to us... i hope people won't be too psycho and kick us when we take our walkers to the park.

you are such a sweetheart! and I know I fear for the state of the world, this is why I dont' want kids, I cannot imagine them growing up in this world, I just dont' think it's fair I mean i know reading Angelas' Ashes that kids will have fun even in the most dire conditions, but honestly, I can't imagine bringing up kids in this world, I find it horrifying on a daily basis.

also being responsible for a helpless little thing like that makes me want to head for the hills

what about adopting? I was thinking, it would be ideal. You don't bring anyone into the world, but you might as well help the ones that are already here, without a choice.

i really love kids, and i think it would be fun to be a gay parent and have children... it would be an honour to be an example! lol... i think most gay men are directionless in life, so hopefully they will begin to change and see that they can actually help and participate more in society.

I concur! sometimes I think having kids would be really fun, and I would love to teach them things, then I think oh god why would I want to take care of something for 18 plus years...lol

i would want a kid to teach them about literature, music, the world... not just because I want to see my face on somebody else (which I think is the reason most straight couples have kids.) I would a kid so I could show to the world that being gay is not a choice, and it doesn't affect the choices of others.
