being yourself is not an option

i dunno i dunno i dunno
not feeling very well. might be the gigantic ham & cheese bap i had for lunch --> not sitting well in my stomach
might be my lack of ideas for a gift for kevin --> i sent him a text and said he shouldn't bother buying me anything.

how E.M.O.

i still don't know what emo means. nobody has fully explained it to me. i feel sometimes that i must be it, if emo means someone who can cry when listening to The Smiths by themselves in the kitchen.
but if emo means wearing tight t-shirts, and clothes worn by other people in the 70s, then i'm definetly not that.

in any case, i think those tags are shattering: emo, punk, skin, cheerleader, grunge, goth, metal, wood, plastic, it's all just junk, isn't it? let's try to be only one thing:

the motherfuckers who will bring down american republicans.

i'll push from here, making sure bliar is not reelected; you make sure dirtybush is gone by the end of 2004

me too quite honestly it disgusts me, what also disgusts me is what I can only refer to as rap culture, it's all about material possesions, and comsuming, more and more and more, and it makes me sick and the sick thing is all these super expensive clothes that they buy are made in thrid world countries by opressed people..way to fight the man...and in the end they dont' care about bettering their fellow man...how much does p diddy give back to his old neighbourhood to get the slum lords out or improve the porjects. (actually I know nothing about him he may but that's the first rappers name that popped into my head) instead of passing the Courvoisier he should be passing the kraft dinner into the food bank! ha! I am a genious

Shit, don't even get me started on Poo Diddy. He's just the pits. No wonder he dated that talentless human being, J.Low

I kinda see rap imagery of fast cars, gold, etc, as dreams... those are things they wanted because they grew up poor... it's like showing to the world that they can get those things as well... then you throw in the cocaine, the prostitutes, and it's just another sad rock and roll story.

I dunno... most artists seem to be bad role models. Not that I want some artist moralizing me, but at least i want originality, intelligence, not just some POSEUR like Eminem singing that he wants to rape a girl, then making a movie about how "rape is bad!" That mixed up message isn't helping things. Either you say yay or you say nay.

well that's what i am saying, but I mean who really needs a 7 million dollar home, when there are people in their old neighbourhoods starving, and don't have enough books for the schools and what not..do you know what i m saying?

Re: well not the part about you not feeling well

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-10-21 08:11 am (UTC)(link)
yeah... it's like they are spitting in the faces of the people they grew up with... but that's America for you, everyone is out for themselves. It's that whole spirit of making money at all costs, regardless of family or friends.

[identity profile] 4q.livejournal.com 2003-10-21 08:15 am (UTC)(link)
I agree, it's really sad and they then become a parody of themselves singing how they really are still from the block..I mean I just think it's so sick that they have soooo much money and they could be doing so much more with it, I mean seriously a million dollars which is like one fifith of one records sales could be used to build a new community center, a new park, start a program for pregnant teens, etc, etc, it's just fucking sad really

i remember also reading about Leonardo di Caprio making 20 million for one movie... what the hell does he need all that money for?

incidentaly, i don't like him, nor do i like rap.

not even that but he is just ugly..seriously...and he's not that great an actor either...I really don't like celebrity, I don't see how in any way they are better then anyone else.....there are tons of great movies with great actors who are people you may not even recognize as you walk down the street..

things are great! I got an A- on the first paper I wrote for class! yay!

the boy is awesome, amazingly awesome! I love him more everyday!

um it's been busy at work! lots of things to get done

your answer to my poll was very sweet!

you are completely adorable!!

I wore my contacts today and everything is already all blurry!! oh well that's what I get for being vane? suddenly I don't know how to spell that word!

Re: well not the part about you not feeling well

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-10-22 08:04 am (UTC)(link)
LOL. i used to wear my contacts to work too but my eyes would get easily irritated. I know there's a product out there, kinda like eye-drops, but it's specially made for contacts... that could help you.

From that poll... did you find out what you wanted to know from that "person"?

Re: well not the part about you not feeling well

[identity profile] 4q.livejournal.com 2003-10-22 08:17 am (UTC)(link)
not really no...he didn't even answer, but everyone else's answers made me happy!

as for the contacts thing I dont really care, I usually don't even wear make up to work, although when I do I get a lot of compliments..I don't deal face to face with the public so I don't have to look all made up, I mean I still brush my hair and stuff, but not much effort goes into the morning!

Re: well not the part about you not feeling well

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-10-22 08:31 am (UTC)(link)
it's easier to be a boy... i just take a shower, put on some clothes and come to work... but you are lucky you don't have to deal with the public so you can do the same.
