being yourself is not an option

i dunno i dunno i dunno
not feeling very well. might be the gigantic ham & cheese bap i had for lunch --> not sitting well in my stomach
might be my lack of ideas for a gift for kevin --> i sent him a text and said he shouldn't bother buying me anything.

how E.M.O.

i still don't know what emo means. nobody has fully explained it to me. i feel sometimes that i must be it, if emo means someone who can cry when listening to The Smiths by themselves in the kitchen.
but if emo means wearing tight t-shirts, and clothes worn by other people in the 70s, then i'm definetly not that.

in any case, i think those tags are shattering: emo, punk, skin, cheerleader, grunge, goth, metal, wood, plastic, it's all just junk, isn't it? let's try to be only one thing:

the motherfuckers who will bring down american republicans.

i'll push from here, making sure bliar is not reelected; you make sure dirtybush is gone by the end of 2004

well not the part about you not feeling well

I like this post a lot!...let me see if I can find you a text book definaition of emo...lol I think it's boys and girls that feel sorry for themselves, and dont' try and change who they are, it's the new goth, without the graveyards and stupid makeup.

but you are right about the lines, and trands blurring, although it pisses me off there is really nothing I can do about it, just like I said before, culture will just keep disintigrating, and breakdown and becoming one big melting pot of shit, and I will keep my style and you will keep yours, and if the kid down the street thinks it's cool to wear striped arm bnads, 7 million of those plastic beaded necklaces, a skirt with running shoes, and florescent pink tights, and a leather biker jacekt with the sleeves ripped off, I may find it horrifying but that is there style and well what can I really say about it..I am too old to make fun of them, and I have been in this too long to change the way I am, so I just have to accept it as their style and we keep on keeping on

i wouldn't worry about blair, since i get the impression that most of the country isn't too pleased with him after his siding with push...

on the other hand, bush doesn't even bother serving his shit up on the nice china, and we continue to eat it. i might have to flee the country if he gets reelected.

I don't follow any styles...I have always been my own style. Right now, my style is not having any style!!!

Works for me!

emo is supposed to be short for emotional. so we are all emo, from the moment on we're humans. it doesn't mean anything.

i guess it also paints that moment when you feel like sitting on your windowpane and watching the rainfall, with a sad music in the background, your head feeling as heavy as your heart. It's a lets-listen-to-with-or-without-you-for-the-tenth-time-in-a-row. Let's puke.

Emo is essential "emotional" or "whine rock" as I like to call it. It's white boys singing about lost or unrequited love, or hate, or pain, or pleasure, or something to that effect. It's pretty much a romantic/punk hybrid in my opinion.

Not totally my favorite genre, but there is some good stuff out there.

And regarding labels, I think I gave a good reply to that bit in your next post.

BTW, I got your CD, I'm waiting for [livejournal.com profile] stinkacon to bring it to work, since I used her address and am no longer living there. I'm going to finish and send yours out today, if time permits.
