A man who wrote a book about Morrissey, called "Saint Morrissey", was just interviewed on BBC6. The DJ then said listeners could win one of three copies of the book if they e-mailed her with the name of Morrissey's first single.

"Suedehead" I jumped!

Now I cross my fingers.

ED:

They will announce the three winners just after 14.30. Please cross yer fingers for me! Maybe they'll say my name on air?

ED PART 2:

And now she's playing 3 Smiths songs covered by other people. First up: Billy Bragg doing "Jeane"

Is it really obvious I have nothing to do at work?

that was afterwards... I remember it being Suedehead because the Press at the time was very impressed he could come up with such a good single after the split.

i think he prefers to be a bit of an enigma beyond the ranting persona of some of the stuff he writes. i spose he's just used to defending himself so much...

they said that, because of the strike, it would take 2 weeks for them to catch up with the backlog.... I'm sure it will arrive, but it will take a while... oh well, i'm sure the wait will be worth it.

apparently the Postal Management decided to change their working conditions from one day to the next, without even consulting them. I don't know the specifics, but I can see how that would suck...
