I'm not in love with Twiggy

The day, to be perfect:

- I'm home alone. I've rented three videos: Morvern Callar, The Hours, Final Destination 2.
- I take a long bath, listening to Kevin's walkman. The water is filled with Honey & Vanilla bubbles, thanks to Sainsbury's.
- I'm orgasomatic.
- I eat a boiled egg, three slices of baked bread, strawberry yogurt, some salted peanuts and cashew nuts. And Earl Grey tea with milk and honey.
- I'm now drinking Fanta Lemon in an Orangina glass.
- The time will come for us to die, no memories left to cry... let us burn and smoulter too.
- All I wanted was to be free... music was my only joy.
- I'm contemplating the bananas in the glass bowl, just to my right.
- I won't forgive any politicians today.
- Sunday television sucks. We taped Ed Wood last night. Carrie, from Sex and the City was in it.
- I like being on my own. I enjoy my control over silence.
- I hate people who talk just to fill up space. If you have nothing to say, shut the fuck up. And don't fucking repeat yourself otherwise I'll smash your head through the window, tear your guts out, serve you to the crows that perch on the neighbouring roofs.
- I feel peaceful and happy.
- I might rent more movies tonight.

morven callar is a great movie, I totally loved it!! I see you are quoting song lyrics from the cd I sent you...that's vice squad I can tell you that right away, I still have to send you that list but I haven't been home all weekend heh.....;)

I like the part about having control over silence. I'll be the first to admit that I talk a lot, but it's lovely to be able to "shut the fuck up" sometimes. I used to get that way semi-voluntarily after watching The Piano. I need that movie on DVD. I would just...not want to talk...my dad got all pissy the first time it happened, but for some reason my mother understood what happened after the barest amount of explanation. And I sat through dinner happily silent.

btw, you're "my gay boy in Britain." I love the gay boys, I don't see how everyone doesn't.

i'd love love love to spend a day with you!!!

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-11-16 09:35 am (UTC)(link)
funny!

Frida was the trailer before The Hours... it looked very good (despite having Ashely Judd, one of the worst actresses of recent time.) Have you seen The Hours?

There was a documentary in the DVD, about Virginia Woolf's life. She was the most beautiful woman... I want to travel back in time, sit in a garden with her, and just listen to her.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-11-16 09:36 am (UTC)(link)
Vice Squad? What a dark amazing song...

I also love that other one, with the funny electro sounds, that goes like this:

"I don't know why ya ya ya...

All the kids are out, listening to the radio..."

eh, can't remember much now! :o)

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-11-16 09:40 am (UTC)(link)
is that what you are telling everyone? "i know this gay boy in london who just loves Schiele..."

;o]

i once knew a girl who told me she never ever spoke after watching a movie. She just wanted to be quiet and think... i think she was right.

The whole thing about talking is definetly a gay men and women sin... there just seems to be a lot of men and women who just go on and on, but when you pay attention to what they are saying, well... they ain't saying much! I'm usually very patient, but I guess I had to express some ANGER at that!

;oP

But you can talk my ears off now because I'm feeling better...

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-11-16 09:41 am (UTC)(link)
soon baby!

we must begin making plans of things we can do together!!!

Ronise wrote to me... she's going to Australia!!!

I've seen The Hours with my sister a while ago. It's funny since my mother is a huge fan of Virgina Woolf and I got Mrs. Dalloway as a birthday present a while ago.

Julianne Moore is wonderful is this movie. Every woman is this movie is brilliant.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-11-16 09:48 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, Julianne Moore is wonderful... and have you seen Far From Heaven? It's with Julianne aswell, and it made me cry so much... she should have won an oscar for it.

[identity profile] icymorning.livejournal.com 2003-11-16 10:01 am (UTC)(link)
no, but i'll remember to rent it :)

[identity profile] peraventure.livejournal.com 2003-11-16 10:02 am (UTC)(link)
hehehhee...well, I can blather on pretty well in comments. I think I've proven that so far.

And I just told my roomie a story and you came up and I say "my gay Morrissey boy in Britain." I love your history, so I'm all 'You know, the Brazilian born in S. Africa, educated in Singapore and Canada and now living in England." Heheh...she was also amused.

I have decided that I shall dress as Morrissey for next Halloween, gaudy necklace tied to my belt with a too-small button up shirt (so my hipbones can show when I throw my hands up in the air and do weird little hip wiggles) beneath a thin suit jacket of oddly contrasting patterns, jeans and a large bouquet in my back pocket. I've got bangs, so I can easily have Morrissey hair. Now I just have to decide whether to do the glasses or not. I'll have to find some at a thrift store if I decide to. hee hee! only now I'm all sorts of inconsolable b/c I would have to figure out what I want to be two weeks after Halloween, right?

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-11-16 10:29 am (UTC)(link)
oh... what were you for this year's halloween? I had a very boriing one... it's been like that since I moved to England...

I wish I could be you Johnny Marr! The last time I dressed up for Halloween, I was the spirit of the 80s... it was so much fun.

maybe you'll have to take some pics of your self as Morrissey and let us judge/tell you what needs improvement and what is ace.

Don't forget the gladioli!

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-11-16 10:29 am (UTC)(link)
You must! It's seriously one of the best movies I've seen in a while... it's so tense I couldn't bear it at times...

[identity profile] medusa.livejournal.com 2003-11-16 10:39 am (UTC)(link)
Don't forget to give me your run down on Final Destination 2!

Talking is good but what people don't say is always more interesting.

I will miss our daytime lj fests!

Chickybock!

[identity profile] icymorning.livejournal.com 2003-11-16 11:06 am (UTC)(link)
rent frida and i'll rent yours

[identity profile] peraventure.livejournal.com 2003-11-16 11:09 am (UTC)(link)
see, I'm thinking eucalyptus and some really long field flowers. Awww, you could be my Marr any day! I didn't do anything good this year, it kind of snuck up on me and was on Friday night when I was still doing 12 hr Fri/Sat shifts. I just wore a bunch of red and cute shoes and danced really well. I will definitely take pictures when I get around to getting the needed items. not sure on the shoes, I forget.

oh that's the epoxies, I love them so much!!!! my friend got to see them when she was in New York, and I was so so so jealous!!!!

I was hoping that would be one of your favorites!

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-11-17 01:43 am (UTC)(link)
Good Luck with the new job!!!!

I had a great time with you on Friday... it was either you, or leaving early for home because of the boredom... so I'm glad God put you on this planet!

;o]

Final Destination 2 was very camp... I loved the pile up scene... and I've also begun thinking about the (unintentional) metaphysical questions raised by the movie:

- are there ironic signs laying around us that point to the manner we will die? For example, the singer from the Mamas and the Papas died from chocking a ham sandwich... she was fat and she was lying in bed... it could have been a death in Final Destination!
- are we unable to escape fate, unless we confront it full on? Everyone in the movie who tried to escape their deaths (or was saved by somebody else) dies... but the heroine plunges herself into the river, following her visions, and is saved (but does that mean that the Doctor dies later on?) And the heroine managed a clean slate for herself, but what about the cop??

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-11-17 01:46 am (UTC)(link)
deal.

*spits on palm and shakes hands*

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-11-17 02:08 am (UTC)(link)
it feels good to express anger... i'm going to try to do it more often.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-11-17 02:10 am (UTC)(link)
IT IS!!

Kevin had to push me to the bed because I had that song on repeat and I was dancing around the bedroom. I started grabbing his arms and trying to make him dance with me. He said I needed to chill out, and he turned the stereo down.

:o(

I'm going to BUY SOME CDS!!! ;]

[identity profile] 4q.livejournal.com 2003-11-17 07:07 am (UTC)(link)
I think Kevin needs to loosen up!!! lol

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2003-11-17 08:03 am (UTC)(link)
kevin was worried because I was acting too manic!
