I brought something to work with me that is making my mouth water.

It's 7 and a half inches long, hard, medium-thick. I open my drawer and I think about putting it in my mouth, nibbling it. I hope none of my co-workers see it, otherwise they might want a piece of the action.

Best of all, it's Canadian. Everybody knows Canadians are the best in this area.

I'm keeping my new friend in the drawer. I'm glad I have company for today, even if the inanimate kind.

To make a serious comment on this post, as opposed to spam nonsense...

Amen, brother. God, I love those things. When I go to Canada for the Christmas break, I'm bringing back as many of those little beauties as I can carry. ^_^

I met a friend from Canada last night. She had asked me beforehand if I wanted anything from Canada, so I told her of how Kevin and I are addicted to Coffee Crisps...

I thought she would bring one for me and one for him... but she gave me a whole box, with 24 large ones!

:o)

I'll save a few for you, just in case you don't go to Canada...

have you got tickets already? how long are you going for?

Mum's got the tickets, actually -- it's a family trip, so it's a definite. We're leaving on the 20th and are away for a week. This way I don't have to take too much paid holiday and can use that for a trip to San Francisco instead. ^_^

Well, I suppose it depends on what you count as lucky. It's very much a family visit, which means I'll less be "going to Montreal" and more "going to see my sick, crotchety grandmother who happens to live in Montreal". But I get to see a hockey match. So I'm happy.

and you'll have all those hours when she's napping to walk around Montreal! Any other plans for your visit there?

We arrive on Saturday, late and jetlagged; we're gonna have sushi at a place Mum showed me last time run by actual Japanese people (I can practice!). Spending Sunday in Ottawa with a friend of the family. Monday's the hockey. Tuesday will be shopping -- cheaper to buy Christmas presents there than here. Then is Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day. After that, we fly home. So there's not going to be a lot besides family. But hey, it's Christmas.

and the shopping will be fun. When I went this Summer, I felt very rich with the conversion rates.
