I woke up at 5am. As much as I tried I couldn't go back to sleep. The house was cold so I tried to hug Kevin. He hugged me for a while then he let go. As usual, unwanted thoughts paraded in front of my eyes, my body grew uncomfortable and I became too alert.

Finally, I got up, grabbed my novel, my glasses, the saturday paper, and headed for the bathtub. I made myself a tall glass of Earl Grey with milk and sugar and soaked myself in the water for an hour. I read about Shelley's death by drowning, the mythology around his young death (created by his friends and his wife Mary Shelley), his cremation by the sea.

Once Kevin was up, we packed a large suitcase with more books, DVDs and tapes and carried it to the new apartment. The place still smells of paint - but it's so lovely! There were birds perched on our roof terrace, puffed up against the cold. If I were a bird watcher, I would be moving into paradise.

why do you think you thought that?

Oh wow. Your room really is red. Um...I honestly don't know why I thought that...I just read that sentence and red acme to mind. sometimes, when I read certain things, I picture colors. *shrugs*
That's an awesome bedroom, by the by! I'd love to have you come arrange and redo mine :)

The walls were like that when we moved in... and it just so happened we had pinkish duvet covers... so it all worked out. The sun, in the afternoons, floods that room with light and you feel like you are in a cocoon... it's very nice.

I enjoyed your entrey alot, It reminded me of Walt Whitman if he had a live Journal. So what Betweeen " As Adam Early in the Morning" and "I Heard at the Close of the Day" any way I enjoyed it.

Ps I did not pictre a red room, I was thinking more light blues and cool tones.

Blessed Be

Ha! Thanks... I enjoyed reading Walt Whitman in school... though I remember my prof not liking him very much.

Perhaps your impression of light blues and cool tones comes from the new bedroom - which has the view of the roof terrace and the perched birds.
