I ate a cornish pasty the size of a human head and a plate of french fries. I downed it with a can of Diet Coke then sat in the cafeteria, chubby-chaser bait, reading my library copy of "The Secret History." I've been taking down notes on this novel and shall write a review of it soon (for anyone who has read the novel and is interested in discussing it.)

An ad appeared in the Institute of Education's newsletter a few weeks ago about an Apple Macintosh computer being given away for free. I wrote to the woman and she replied today saying that it's mine! It's a few years old but it should do the trick for all the fiction writing I need to do. Kevin won't let me use his computer anymore.

It's two o'clock. My lunch break is over. Adieu, mes amis.

Well, he paid for it in full and he uses it a lot. I tend to sit in front of it and let the hours go by and I guess that was bugging him.

Okay! I insisted upon Ross reading it when we were still talking in IM and I hadn't moved out here yet--he ordered it and enjoyed it thoroughly. So there's a copy here--I should re-read it so I'll be up on it when you post your review ;)

It could be... but it could also be used as a dramatic farwell where you might never see the person again.

It's a fabulous book. I recently finished her follow-up 'The Little Friend.'

What did you think of the follow up? The Rattler and I were talking about it today during Dim Sum. You should have been sitting near us.

It was very good, beautifully written like "The Secret History." I think TSH was slightly more engaging, though - it really worked for me.

I'm stuck on a lump... I don't know if it's because I've been reading a little bit here, a little bit there, but I'm now at the part where they just went to Bunny's funeral and I'm not very into it... but I'm hoping to get some reading done tonight and continuing jotting down ideas in my notebook for my review... I want to hear from you what you thought of it when I'm finished, ok?

because he's a monkey ball. well, because he uses it alot and if I sit in front of it I tend to let hours go by... but, since he's gone out today, I'm being naughty and using it in his absence.
