It's my last day of work in the Institute of Education. My co-workers took me out for lunch yesterday to a nearby chi-chi Italian restaurant.

Tonight, I'm seeing Low play live at the Royal Albert Hall.

Two hours left until I say goodbye to my boss and the others. They were nice people to work with.

Aww, I had this last week. Just don't do a me and make someone cry on the way out by calling them a 'moronic Daily Mail reader'!! ;)

Can I tell one of the brazilian boys that works in the caf that he's cute?

If it isn't liable to make him cry then go ahead... ;P

It will probably make him mutter under his breath and run away. :)

it used to be a beautiful hotel, but they have just let it go totally downhill, and be destroyed. lots of punk bands play there though and it's pretty fun, but they just recently closed down one of the worst bars in that area, and I fear that a lot of people will migrate there. Old and young violent drunks...drinking to fuck fight and forget I guess

Then they'll start putting carpets on table tops...

Brazilian guys are so... intensely sensual and sexual. I've tried to date a few but they always seem to sleip between my fingers. ;)

Well, I didn't slip between my boyfriend's fingers! We are still together after six years. ;-)

OK. I guess I am out of the loop, why are you leaving your work?

I decided I might as well quit because I'll be in Brazil for 5 weeks. I was only a temp anyways and wouldn't get paid while being away. Also, I want to find part-time work when I come back to Britain, and my old position couldn't be transformed to part-time.

I haven't mentioned my work much, so don't worry about being out of the loop!

That sounds like a reasonable thing to do, especially if they are unwilling to allow you a part time position. How wonderful to be home for 5 entire weeks!! You should be able to see many important people in that amount of time.

Oh definetly! I want to spend all the time with my family, my friends here... just soak it all in so that I don't miss it as much when I'm back in England.

Foi... achei melhor largar por estar indo ao Brasil por 5 semanas.

Definitely tell the cute Brazilian he's cute.

:)

Lucky you on the goodbye luncheon (they don't need someone else to work there now do they ? ;) ) - it's always kinda nice to regret leaving work rather than feeling like it's a lucky escape.

I'm very jealous you're escaping the UK for hotter climes.

They were very nice at this last job... I will miss them, I guess. But I'm also looking forward to seeing my family, the dogs, the friends and enjoying the sun!

Will post lots of pictures so you can feel even more jealous! :-)
