Tight Asses and Wide Receivers

dotintheskyMy ass has been hurting since Saturday morning. The swim coach worked too hard on my body, leaving me with that burning sensation on my limbs when I got home. I lay around yesterday, in a fever of boredom, wanting to return to the swimming pool... but nothing opens on Sundays.

roguejournal and Leci. The three of us reminisced about the times we taught english together, the movies we saw, the places we went, the people we knew. Tete was her usual antisocial self and tried to bite chunks out of their legs. Bad Tete.
During the more lonesome hours, I read The Da Vinci Code (shock! horror! yeah whatever, I'm reading it in Portuguese.) Despite the feeling of knowing the characters from various Sidney Sheldon novels, I was surprised to learn some new things about mathematics (Phi), art (Mona Lisa is androgynous, yo) and the Interpol (they are imbeciles when it comes to catching American fugitives.)
At night, I watched The Bourne Supremacy. Matt Damon looked cute, in a dumb soldier kind of way. I kept hoping he would reveal himself to be gay, get together with the Russian assassin and live happily ever after working for the Moscow Mafia. Alas, this was a Hollywood movie. (Oh, and aren't we all glad Leonardo Di Caprio lost a chance to own a Oscar?)
This morning, I got my sore ass over to the pool again. What masochistic practices awaited me? Would I be able to bear the pain, the excruciating pleasure? Yes, it was lovely. The swim coach said I have a perfect front crawl (Did you learn it in a sports club? She asked. Such a nice technique is not taught everywhere.) She also said I have great resistance because I never stop to catch my breath. I did 1300 metres on Saturday and 1400 metres today.
Now my ass is resting and making plans for going swimming this whole week. And, in the evenings, I'm going to watch tons of rented videos - they cost a pound to rent! I want to revist lots of horror movies, see the last two Harry Potty movies and maybe a couple of old nuggets from Hollywood's golden age.

No intelligent characters: only a labyrinthic plot full of historical references. Nope, for historical literatura I will always prefer "Les misérables"...
And what?? I think DiCaprio's done a fucking great job composing the Howard Huges character!! You can feel the pain when it comes from sanity to insanity in only one second!! It's great!!! (yep... I'm becoming a fan of The Aviator!!)

I'm reading the Da Vinci Code because my aunt literaly pushed it into my hands and ordered me to read it. I thought it might sound better in Portuguese, but I'm very bored by it and not that interested. The characters are two-dimensional and everything revolves around that stupid plot that we all already know the end.
