L7's Shitlist is my new favourite song. We spent yesterday and Tuesday downloading music and, everytime Henrique wasn't looking, I'd put Shitlist to play.

I (h)ate grunge, but I see some kind of disaster coming on. Hole's Doll Parts is also in my brainwave.

We have spent the days indoors, downloading videos and music. Then we rent movies: Alien vs. Predator, and Hulk. At night, we go drinking. We saw on Tuesday night Chimpanzé Clube Trio, a band made up of members from Os Abimonistas (who are all my friends.) I talked loads to Bruno, one of my oldest friends. I must know him for almost 20 years now! I drank two large caipirinhas and couldn't keep my eyes open on the drive home.

Last night, we went to see Os Abimonistas play in their studio. Afterwards, we drove around looking for a place to drink. We settled for a bar in the gay neighbourhood. Henrique and Reco played pool while I sat by the bar's balcony and spied a group of friends eating pizza below me. When Henrique and Reco joined me: conversations about horror movies, friends who fuck up and live concerts.

Tonight, chez les alcoholiques. Where? I dunno.

When i get mad and i get pissed i grab my pen and i write out a list
of all the people who won't be missed you've made my

shitlist

Boys in high school used to say I looked like Donita Sparks. I took that as a compliment, except for her hair!

i used to have such a love affair with blasting that song. my crazy redheaded psycho friend from ohio would scream along with it and that, for some reason, was unbearably funny to me.
"sheeeeaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhttttttttt-list YEAH."

i'm actually not a huge fan of most of their other stuff. it just doesn't grab me. i had some cover of them doing "hanging on the telephone" (blondie), but i found that each time i listened to it, i just felt incomplete and wanted to listen to the original. how did the cd fare? did you enjoy? maybe i just need to give them another chance. any other particular songs that struck you?

Pretend that We Are Dead is also good... and I think another song about Pills? I only downloaded random stuff from the net so I don`t have any of their complete albums. I definetly wouldn`t listen to them everyday, or even every week.

Funny, I once saw L7 live without any previous knowledge of any of their songs, and Shitlist was the one that made the most lasting impression.

I used to love that song. I had the Natural Born Killers soundtrack in high school.

I dont remember that soundtrack well... I loved Patti Smiths song on it, and that's all I remember. Maybe I should revisit it.

There are a few good songs on there, and some bummers as well. It was during my Nine Inch Nails phase, so I loved it.
