I should be looking for a job; I should be updating my CV; I should be ironing my shirts and pressing my trousers; I should be worried about having only 700 pounds in my bank (and half of that going towards rent tonight). I`m avoiding the inevitable, i.e. the phone call to my temp agency and my placement in some dull university office. Bad brasilian boy. Bad.

Kevin and I went for walks in Hyde park this weekend - a neat pretence to get out and lie in the sun. I`ve been suffering some mild blues since being back, which I already predicted in Brasil. This was alleviated by the purchase of Garbage`s latest album Bleed Like Me, countless visits to Tesco for their juice, videogame bouts, day time television, and incarceration in Maida Vale`s library for one hour in daily time.

The trees outside our windows have gone purple with sprouts, and heavy white petals droop over the bridge that crosses the canal. Now we can see the birds hoping between the branches and aim a stone if they try to tap at our windows. When I`m in the kitchen, I rotate my eyes from those trees and the stove, with Garbage`s album blasted for the neighbour`s benifit.

Two excellent documentaries: Aileen, about the first known female serial killer in America (which makes you see what a brilliant job Charlie did in the movie) and McLibel, about two people who decided not to say sorry to MacDonalds. Both interesting and compelling in their own right and worth a watch if you have a chance.

My ascendant is in Scorpio. They say a scorpio can rise like a phoenix. Please throw a match and burn me - then I can come back as someone else. And get a job that will make me happy. Hire me. Now. Stop me from wasting my time. Here too.

I don`t want to work! Can`t we work out an arrangement for me where I pose for you and you pay my bills?

What`s the use for art if it can`t maintain the lifestyles of people like me?

I have no doubt that again you will rise above us all;everyone has the blues upon returning from a long hiatus from working; Damn! I'm very depressed every Sunday night, after being off a couple of lousy days, but I always feel somewhat better after working that first night. And you have no need to be someone else; everyone likes you the way you are. So, pull yourself up & get out there; it is nice to have money so you can live.......

We were in Hyde Park on Sunday! We'll have to do a picnic over the Kensington Gardens end one time as it seems really nice there :-)

And I can't say I blame your apathy over getting your arse in gear over job-hunting. It's one thing to hunt for a job, it's another to hunt for a job you know you're probably not going to like. I wish you luck in finding a job that does not drive you too mad :-(

That`s too bad we didn`t run into each other! A picnic soon would be a good idea, specially with these warm weekends coming our way (I hope.)

Job search sucks... but what else is there to do? Gotta pay the bills. :o/

Thanks for the good wishes!

Work to live, not live to work. You've definitely got it the right way round - you need to find work so your quality of life is good. It's sad when people only exist for their jobs.

Bring on the sunshine! Perhaps the weekend around 7th May-ish would be a good plan?

I`m thinking of writing a review for it because it`s so... brilliant! It`s their return to form, their revisiting of the first album. I`ve had it on repeat since I bought it and there`s not a single wasted track on the cd. :)

If you buy it, I`d love to hear your opinion on it!

That Aileen doc was made a Hollywood movie about two years ago with Charlize Theron starring. It is called Monster and it is good.

What types of video game bouts do you have?

I saw the movie... I referred to it in my post, duffushead! :)

I`ve got a Gamecube so I get sucked into it once in a while. Mario, Luigi, Zelda, etc... all those games that have magic mushrooms that make you grow tall and strong.

Haha
I just imagined a version of that story but instead of Aileen, it being Charlie who is the mass murderer, and how crazy that would be to have a male serial killer. Wow i just noticed sexual discrimiantion.

Good games!

That would be great! I was just talking to Kevin about them yesterday, so I would still love to buy them from you. But if you could wait just a tinsy winsy bit... until I get a job! (which won`t be long) then that would be cool.

I`m sorry for taking so long to deal with this. :)

The world is full of bad brazilian boys. Thankfully, I`m only bad 15% of the time. The rest of the time, I mope around the house and hope for a good job to keep me good and well-behaved.

Of course I remember you... I hope you don`t delete that journal too!

What did he say in his letter? I`m still thinking of writing to that gay one you found for me, eventhough he only wants American penpals.

aquela árvore que você descreveu deve ser tão linda <3 você deu um ótimo contraste a essa descrição da árvore com a parte em que você praticamente ameaça os pobres pássaros que chegam perto da sua janela com uma pedra, hahahahahahaha
