I was like that. I was hooked to Animal Crossing for about 4 months. The good news is, the novelty does wear off after a while. (Although I'm scared to play it again, in case I can't stop!)

Disturbingly too, did you know your house gets full of flies and stuff if you stop playing? How much of a guilt complex is that going to give someone with a mild cleaning fetish/OCD?

I noticed all the cockroaches... but I thought it was because I didn't move around my furniture enough!

When I first got AC, I also played a lot then stopped... I then lent the game to a friend and she built her own little town. A few weeks back, she sent the game back to me with her memory card... oh dear! Now I have two cities to explore, letters she sent to me as well as the other animals which are hilarious to read, treasuries to buried for me to find... the game grew in scope and now I`m addicted again!
