Squirrels are Toast

Celebrity chefs like Jamie Oliver are being urged to feature grey squirrel on their menus.

I don't know if this could ever come to pass in Britain. Maybe squirrel meat tastes good, but would I ever actively choose it from a menu if there were other options? Have any of you ever eaten squirrel meat? What does it taste like?

An ex of mine used to regularly hunt rabbits with his English longbow, and sell them to his local butcher! He made money, and he got to practice his archery - given that he played at quite a high level it was a good deal!
