I just wanna say I haven't been away I'm still right here Where I always was So one day if you're bored By all means call Because you can do But only if you want to
What a pain! Hey, only 8 more days. Sorry I've been so preoccupied – too much to do and too little time. I've been following your move and name dropping hehehe – you have a great job, almost addictive, eh? My last job began with feeling very cool. I was working for an internationally renowned scientist and well, we were the shit! Oh well, it sucked to lose the job but in many ways I'm glad! Lately, I'm trying to simplify and I'm getting there. My head is a ball of confusion at times but I don't mind hehehe. I wish I had a better source of urb! I want to check if the LJ is a problem at the library here, also. The town I'm in has no library. It's just too small. Rouelyn and I have talked about buying a house in her Barangay and putting a library, internet café and copy center there. Of course that would a philanthropic exercise and we are hardly in the position to be so generous. Although, maybe we could set up a slick little hang out and WiFi from Ozamiz??? I hope you're enjoying the apartment. I on off and about! I am going to see the volcano and lord knows what they will try feed me there. The planning has taken some time and cost far more than I had expected – Oh and Rouelyn and I had our first fight hehehe Oh well all is good Carry on and keep me informed! I like the mail in Art exhibit I should send something. I still need to get a tee-shirt too.
Hey, I hope you're checking your email regularly at the library so you'll get this soon, but I went out today to 5 different book shops and none of them seem to carry The Stinging Fly, although I know they did a few years ago. There is still one more I can check later this week but it is a bit out of my way so I don't know when I can get to it. Alternatively I can send you the one copy I have at home, which has Alan's poem in it and is from Winter 2002/03, but I'd need you to send it back.
I will be in London on the 11th so I can also just bring it with me for you, but if you'd like it sooner I can send it. :)
Hey babe, don't worry about The Stinging Fly (and specially don't worry about carrying it to London!) I'll get one of the bookshops here to order a copy for me; they usually don't charge you for that and I can't imagine it costing very much. Perhaps I can even find a copy in one of the bigger chains?
That's not very hard to include. Maybe ask Rob if you can hide in his closet when he brings a conquest home? The details should prove to be very tantalizing...
I'm not saying anything except that libraries are flammable and if they don't do what you want, well, you just need 451 fahrenheit degrees to get their attention.
Ah my dear, I can empathize with the frustration after times sat in the quaint Beverley library cursing an old friend when realising it was probably due on quite a large scale to all the non- work/library/child/small animal friendly pics he put on his page that were preventing me from even saying hello to my more chaste friends. Still, I remember his posts were worth it.
Hope all is well with you and the new flat. Looking forward to seeing you back round here again in a week's time. xxx

on 2006-08-01 01:22 pm (UTC)Your plan for setting up a small WiFi place sounds very good. You could build a small but reliable clientele that way.
