Kevin locked me inside the apartment on his way to work. I'm currently waiting for the estate agents to arrive in their office.

Thank god this building is not on fire, otherwise I'd be royally screwed.

Yes.. otherwise it would be a genuine nightmare for sure!

I recall getting locked in the house by an ex once - I was seriously not impressed!!

I can't imagine why he'd lock me in, since we had just talked to each other before he walked out. I'm now suspecting that the lock somehow fell in place and is jammed. I keep trying to flick it and it's moving only half-way... better go call those estate agents again.

Sounds like it was probably an accident rather than forgetfulness! Good luck though :-)

I don't understand getting locked INside. Unless you don't know where your keys are and you have one of those master locks that you have to use the key on the inside as well, to unlock it? that happened to me (and Gordon Gano) once at my parents' house. Although Gordon Gano got locked inside his own parents' house.

It never happened to me until I moved to the UK and lived in houses with these types of locks. Eventhough they have switches on the inside which seem to indicate you can unlock it, they don't budge. So if someone locks you in the house, even if by accident, you need to slide the key through the letter box and get a helpful neighbour to open it for you... or call your estate agent.

Nao... o cara da agencia imobiliaria apareceu e me salvou. Cheguei no trabalho na hora do almoco, e vou ficar um tempinho a mais para compensar.

I hate getting locked IN. It makes you feel like such a slob -- can't leave, can't do anything but wash TV and hang out on LiveJournal.

My sister locks me in all the time when I go to her house on New York. Insane.

I hate how so many houses in the UK are fitted with these locks that can't be open from the inside. They are real fire traps.

Whoops ! - He was obviously so excited about getting to work upstairs in the civilised office today that it caused temporary insanity :)

And the excitement must have really exhausted him because it's not even 9pm and he's already passed out on the couch.
