Storm That Came and Went

I love waking up in the middle of the night with a storm raging around me. I love hearing the thunders and seeing the light flash against the wall. Kevin runs to his work room, to check if the window is closed -- it is. I curl deeper under the covers. Storms make it easy for me to fall back asleep and avoid those questions that sometimes haunt me all night long.

on 2006-10-01 06:47 am (UTC)I always associated rain and storms with mud, because of Brasil's grassiness. But a few years ago, while staying at my friend Henrique's beach house, I got to swim by myself in the sea while it rained... it was an amazing feeling.

on 2006-10-03 04:48 pm (UTC)Since I'm always awake at 3 in the morning, those questions don't usually pop up.
Actually... sometimes they do, but they stick around for all day long.
