The mystery caller who likes to sing brasilian children songs has been unmasked.

Last Friday, a co-worker on maternity leave came to our office to show off her baby. While chatting, she mentioned having a brasilian friend in Brighton. After leaving our office, she must have told this friend about me (including my work phone number) because it was this person who called and left the creepy message.

Co-worker on maternity leave just sent text message asking what I thought of the song.

I swear to God that's not typical brasilian behaviour.

How bizarre!

At least you know now, I guess.

Very bizarre. She must have thought she was appealing to some sense of nostalgia in me... though why she thought that would be amusing is anyone's guess.

weird

that is so weird. did you make it clear that you were creeped out, not amused? it could just be my american pc hypersensitivity, too, but i'd be a little offended if someone gave out my number to a total stranger just because they were also from the same country. like implying we all know each other or are the same.

I asked my co-worker to text her back saying I was creeped out. She then replied saying "Xuxa sends a kiss".

Absolutely.

She really should have thought that through. Glad you know.

I can see now she only meant to be silly, but she obviously didn't know what a paranoid I am!

that sounds like an excellent beginning to an episode of coupling.
only, if that were an actual episode, the caller would probably have made and attempt to shag the callee. or vice versa depending on which whom they placed in that scenario.

LOL...now, what truly is 'typical Brazilian behaviour'? Of course, I have to admit, I haven't had any Brazilian ringing me up and leaving sweet melodies on my answer phone...yet
