Maybe someone else from Oxford clicked the link?

no, I clicked again (just now) and it's the same thing. btw, if I am not editing next Sunday (18th), I'll be volunteering again!

I'm going to see if I can rope my boyfriend into coming with me; if not, I might show up and help you pull some weed from tombs. ;-)

haha, probably won't be tombs this time. according to the program I have it'll be Bentley Priory which is somewhere close to Harrow. Volunteers will be working on the marsh area, the dell, the stream or many of the glades dotted around the site' (from the booklet I have) check out the calendar:

I need to get a pair of boots, don't I?

any news from the gay/lesbian volunteering?

the boots, well, some people had wellies, other wore sneakers or whatever. I have sturdy shoes but they are definitely not boots. and I am too poor to buy proper ones, too. I am actually thinking about getting more involved with btcv, if that happens I'll get some.

When you say more involved, what do you mean? Finding a job with them?

I used to get an e-mail newsletter from the gay/lesbian section of BTCV, but it hasn't come in months now. Maybe it's gone into hiatus?

well, first of all more volunteering per se. and they have (unpaid) volunteer officer positions where you commit yourself to a certain number of days (2-4 a week) and get all the courses for free and get leadership training etc. and since I am a student I am quite flexible, especially during the summer. but I cannot do it until the taught part of my course has finished which is some point in May.

Ballysmuttan! What a great place name!

Hello dearie, how are you faring today? I've an interview at 12:30 for a place that's close enough I could bike to it! Fantastic, eh? I'm hoping for two days, I'd drop two days at my current place, probably. It seems a really great place to work, now I just have to figure out how busy they are.

Good luck!

All's good here. Just waiting for the weekend to start, for some chillaxing time. I haven't decided yet if I should hit the gym tonight... and that's about it. Life is pleasantly mundane right now.

Good. We all need that now and again. I find that I'm bored when not enough happens, but then when too much starts happening I can't handle it. I hate going out five nights a week, y'know what I mean?

Some say it's a curse for us. We are too comfortable at home and never make an effort to go out.

at least you're comfortable with each other and don't fight all the time!
