Ask

Questions I'd like answered today:

  • Why do so many powerful men prefer brasilian lovers? Recent examples: Peter Mandelson, Judge Mohammed Ilyas Khan and various top brass at Volkswagen.
  • Why do they keep finding headless bodies in the Thames?
  • Why is Jarvis Cocker's line up for this year's Meltdown Festival so disappointing?
  • Why doesn't Livejournal give us the power to remove people from our "friend of" list? (It would certainly bring back much needed Drama to Livejournal.)
  • Why is everyone joining Facebook? Haven't they learnt anything from Friendster a few years back?

I actually really like Facebook. My roommate and I send each other silly messages all the time; we work opposite hours so it's almost the only way we can communicate!

I've grown a bit weary of having so many accounts - Flickr, MySpace, Livejournal, and so forth - that any new site just seems like a hassle to me. Also, most people at my work are on Facebook, so it would definitely suck me in and add hours to my daily computer use, which I'm trying to cut down. But I can see how good it would be if you had a close friend on it.

The only sites I use on a daily basis these days are Gmail, LJ, the Guardian, and Facebook. For the most part the internet has lost its appeal.

I spend all day surfing the net (when nobody is looking) so I've been trying my best to read or do other stuff at night. However, this weird thing is happening to me where, if I come home and don't use the computer I get sleepy and pass out early!

i like it too! i like it much better than myspace, a bit 'cleaner', not so blinky and taking up so much workspace..plus you get to read silly updates on your friends..plus my profile actually seems sort of protected there...
