desayuno_ingles arrived safe and well. Her flight was four hours late, so my brother, the driver and I killed time enjoying Sao Paulo's chaotic traffic. She went a little yellow on the drive to the farm, from the road's twists and turns (but that didn't stop her from taking pictures of the passing scenario).

She's been introduced to the family, the guesthouse, the dogs, Brasilian soap operas, homemade cheese, homemade Jabuticaba liquor, Southern Hemisphere skies, cows, stray horses, homemade pasteis and Brasilian coffee.

There were seven parrots hanging out on the tree just outside our bedroom this afternoon.

We are going shoe shopping in a minute.
