In the end, the airline allowed me to fly without paying a fine. I arrived in London yesterday afternoon, safe and well. Thank you for all the toes, fingers and paws crossed, as well as the good vibes.

While waiting for my connection in Amsterdam, I pictured myself standing on top of an airplane, wearing a billowing white dress, singing The Rolling Stones' "Gimme Shelter".

Thank you. I missed the first one because of a long line to get through customs. Apparently, people have to arrive more than three hours early in Brasilian airports...

Now it's back to job searching for me. This good weather is not helping my disposition. ;-)

Actually, funny you should ask because there is a job opening. It's not temping but it's a secretarial/admin post right in the same office as me at the Archway campus of UCL.

It's not a temp position but it's pretty decent and it closes on Friday 31st. As far as I know there's only been one or two applicants and they weren't very good.

Haha! Smoked nothing; just enjoyed the airport's good vibeness. They should set up some proper coffee shops in that airport, however. It would make life easier for travellers.
