The Blind Assassin was what made me fall in love with Margaret Atwood... I'm so glad you are loving it! :-)

I thought the last book was such a disaster that I was afraid it had put you off the book club... it makes me happy to know you still want to do it! Well, I'm pretty much up for anything. Do you have any ideas for books you'd like to read?

i don't know! want to do a classic, or something contemporary?

I'm good either way! How about this: write a list of books you have at home you haven't read yet, which you'd like to read at some point, and I'll do the same. We'll then compare the lists and see if there are any matches. If not, then I can look at yours (or vice versa) and we can pick one. Also, I'm open to other forms if you feel like it: biographies, poetry, non-fiction, etc.

it's a deal! let's do either a novel or a memoir-ish book; i think i need something narrative + creative right now, which means poetry and biographies might be tough to swallow.

That works for me since I have no poetry or biographies kicking around the house i haven't read yet! :-)

List coming up.

I just remembered that I have all of my "to read" books listed in Goodreads. Here they are (http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/641491?shelf=to-read). I'm happy though to go with something beyond that list, that you want to read (that you have or was recommended to you.)

Just had to say -- great choice of music today! Graham's guitar at the beginning of that track always gets me.

A blissful random choice from my iTunes. It could just as easily been Enya.

That would be amazing! I think for the time being you'll have to get by with showing me and pigglet_gina (who NEVER posts anymore) around your fair city. We're counting the days until July.
