Day 79 - Missing

dotintheskyOne of my cats went missing a few days ago. One moment he lay on the sofa with his sister, the next he was gone.
My brother’s four dogs were nearby and I heard a commotion. Wild rustling in the bush, barking. I called for him but got no reply. I searched all around the house.
By 11pm he still wasn’t home. In the morning we’d have to go hunting for his corpse. He’d never disappeared like that before.
2.21am, something hops into bed with me. I turn on the bedside lamp – it’s him. Oh, how I hugged that cutie.
