[Poll #1565915]

I've read three of them, all before I was 18 years old. The one that stayed the most with me was Dune and the least was Hyperion. My memories of The Lord of the Rings are a little jumbled, thanks to the movie trilogy. I always preferred The Hobbit though - read it twice.

Since reading George R.R. Martin's Fevre Dream, I've been meaning to check out his fantasy series even thought it's not finished yet and fans are almost agreed that it might never be concluded. If we assume the Twilight and Harry Potter books are fantasy too, shouldn't they be at the top of this list?

I leave in an hour and a half for the airport. My travel will last about 26 hours if there are no delays.

That's one more person who recommends them. I'll give them a go this summer.

I HIGHLY recommend Ender's Game. And in fact, if you enjoy audiobook format, I read it aloud to a digital voice recorder for my brother when he broke his arm, so I can send that along. Classics by osmosis...

Wait, a digital recording of you reading an entire book?! Wow... that would be cool!
