Less than an hour to go before this Friday 13th is over. Happy Friday 13th!

I've created a spotify playlist (Morrissey 13) for all thirteen albums[1], so you can enjoy them tomorrow morning as you sip your coffee, read the paper and stare at the rain.

[1] I cheated a little on the Jobriath - had to use the only one Spotify had because the other is not available. But it doesn't make much difference - all of Jobriath's stuff kinda sounds the same.

I'd never heard of the Smoking Popes, so am tempted to listen to that one. You also suspect that the not very inconspicuous bulge on the album sleeve played its appeal...

Smoking Popes are awesome!

Big influence on most Chicago pop punk bands (notably Alkaline Trio (who even stole the Popes' drummer for one album)).

Their last album "Stay Down" was actually really good (a big surprise, given they'd split up and reformed again) - maybe even their best, for me.

There's a lot on that list I haven't heard though - look forward to checking it out (even if I am a day late).

(I do hate those articles where you have to keep clicking and clicking though!)
