Picos Gemeos

Cleaning day at the pousada. Rosana, my cleaning lady and friend, brought her 6-year-old daughter, as is now customary. Last time they were here, I paid the little girl her first salary, R$2 for helping me collect all the leaves in the garden.

It’s cold but sunny and the primavera tree, despite winter and the ants’ best efforts, still holds on to some of its leaves and petals.
