Brasilian Great Kiskadee

I woke up an hour ago with a great kiskadee trying to get into my bedroom. It would hit the balcony's window, fall on the floor and sing. It kept repeating this for 5 minutes. I had no idea why it just wouldn't fly the opposite way, to the trees that surround my room.
Finally, I went to the door and pulled the curtains open. The kiskadee saw me and flew away ( into the tree on the right hand side of this photo. )
The Great Kiskadee is called a Bem-te-vi in Portuguese. Phonetically, the sound that it makes sounds like Bem-te-vi!, which means something like "Well well, I saw you!"
