If you could own only one film, which one would it be?

[identity profile] oatmeal-texas.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 02:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Harold and Maude.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 04:00 pm (UTC)(link)
What Would Maude Do? (WWMD?)

That's my philosophy in life.

cheeky monkey!

argh...tough question. maybe The Piano?

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 04:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Good choice. Do you already own it?

[identity profile] missfairchild.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 02:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Raiders of the Lost Ark.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 04:02 pm (UTC)(link)
It's been a long time since I've seen it. In a way, I'm kinda scared of seeing it again; I saw "The Temple of Doom" last year and it didn't live up to all the good memories I had of it.

[identity profile] suede.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 02:51 pm (UTC)(link)
twin peaks...
erm
the 2 seasons dvd

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 03:26 pm (UTC)(link)
No no no! It has to be a film.

Which one? :-)

Hello stranger!

That's a weird choice. :-)

28 days later.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 04:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Because of that early scene on the hospital bed? ;-)

As in a "Desert Island" thing? Hmmm, tricky, probably Rocky Horror Picture Show!

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 05:14 pm (UTC)(link)
When I was in high school, some girls from a few years below me wanted to put together a production of the movie, and they asked me to participate. I had never seen the film but all my friends were like "oh, don't do it!"

I wish I knew which part they had in mind for me. ;-)

Later, when Kevin and I moved to London, we lived with a girl who was part of the London cast for the show.

Dumb And Dumber!

[identity profile] yaruar.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 03:26 pm (UTC)(link)
ohh, tricky...

Probably Ghost Dog

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 05:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Jarmush is great. If I ever make enough money to be able to afford a film collection, his stuff is going in there.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/_medium_/ 2006-02-08 03:27 pm (UTC)(link)
that is a hard question gotta get back to you on that. :p

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 03:27 pm (UTC)(link)
Don't forget to come back! I wanna know...

[identity profile] llivejournal.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 03:38 pm (UTC)(link)
I can't decide between Forbidden Zone and Showgirls. I used to have Showgirls, Forbidden Zone, and Killer Condom recorded in EP mode on a single VHS tape. Can I choose that tape?
Ooh, or if I choose Trapped In The Closet, can I still receive the ongoing chapters as they're completed?

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 04:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Only one film counts. Trilogies are not eligible. Films made for TV count too. I suppose "Trapped in the Closet" counts because it is a megamovie.

It'd be a tossup between Withnail & I and The Happiness of the Katakuris.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 05:04 pm (UTC)(link)
And what if you had to choose between one of those two?

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 05:05 pm (UTC)(link)
You must choose only one. So which shall it be?

[identity profile] saint-narcissus.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
can it be a film we're in?

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 04:41 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes, as long as it's a proper film.

[identity profile] la-mascherina.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 04:38 pm (UTC)(link)
Just one?! That's not faaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiirr!!
Ok.
Drowning by numbers.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 04:51 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm a little shocked!

Out of all of Greenaway's movies... that one?!?! Can ya tell me why? :-)

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/goorgoahead_/ 2006-02-08 04:51 pm (UTC)(link)
"My Own Private Idaho", eu acho.

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 05:00 pm (UTC)(link)
Boa! Venho querendo ver esse filme de novo. Ja deve fazer 10 anos desde a ultima vez assisti... e gosto bastante do diretor tambem.

[identity profile] gorecky22.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 05:42 pm (UTC)(link)
Right now? Brokeback Mountain... I'm kinda obsessed... :P

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 05:47 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't mind owning a copy of the DVD, to be honest. I bet there will be interesting "extra" material attached to it.

[identity profile] tonight-we-fly.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 05:48 pm (UTC)(link)
Pierrot Le Fou.

And I'm going to click "post comment" before I change my mind...

[identity profile] commonpeople.livejournal.com 2006-02-09 09:03 am (UTC)(link)
Never heard of it. But it sounds french, so I'll probably like it. :-P

[identity profile] naturalbornkaos.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
For sheer repeat watchability value, probably "Hackers".

[identity profile] mr-tom.livejournal.com 2006-02-08 07:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Casablanca, obv!
